I contracted USA Pole Barns to build my 40×60×16 barn with a 12×60 porch, 4' wainscoting, and upgraded 26-gauge metal. The project ran from April 18 through August 18.

Overall, my experience was very positive, and we’re happy with the finished product. From the beginning, communication was good, and the company worked closely with my inspector—who is known for being very strict—to make sure everything met his requirements.

My salesman, Dan Wagner, did a great job keeping me updated throughout the process. If I had a question he couldn’t answer immediately, he always followed up after finding the information. I really appreciated that.

The only frustration I had was with scheduling. Our material delivery was rescheduled at least twice, and our start date moved three times. This was difficult for my wife and me, as we had to adjust our work schedules and even take time off to be available. After I voiced my concerns, Dan took responsibility, and the crew was onsite the following week to begin construction. While the delays were inconvenient, I do appreciate how quickly they responded once I raised the issue.

We gathered six quotes for the same building. USA Pole Barns wasn’t the cheapest, but also not the most expensive, and I believe the value was there for the quality received. Tim, the owner, even visited my site with the crew to ensure specific details of my project were handled correctly.

The builders—a crew of Amish carpenters from Indiana were outstanding. Despite a 2.5-hour commute each way, they arrived every morning around 8 a.m. and worked together like a well-oiled machine. They completed the barn in just 6-1/2 days. They were respectful, grateful for the water and drinks we provided, and had no problem making small adjustments I requested. The inspector visited twice during construction, and the crew quickly addressed his notes. Their workmanship was excellent, and the barn turned out exactly as planned.
They left the site fairly clean, though I will still need to run a magnet before driving on it since there are screws and nails scattered around.
In the end, I would definitely recommend USA Pole Barns. The process wasn’t without its bumps, but the communication, workmanship, and final result make them a company worth hiring.“
