Driver attempted to leave a skid of mulch on the roadway in front of my home. I understand he could not get the skid onto my gravel driveway, but leaving a roadway obstructed is not the answer. Told me he was going to say that I refused the delivery.
That is not how to handle a service/delivery issue. Home Depot and Central Transport need to communicate with each other AND the customer who is left in the middle.
Upon my husband’s arrival, the driver offered to back the truck in and get it on the driveway.. if you need two people to properly and safely deliver, then send your drivers with an assistant.
Horrible service. Horrible communication.
Unhelpful, rude gal in customer service who acted like it was my problem and not hers that they failed to deliver a product today. Mistakes happen but failure to take accountability.
Terrible at communication. I would think that would be important for a company like this! The dispatcher called to set up a 4, yes 4 hour delivery windows and never showed. The driver did call 2 hours late saying they were about 15+ minutes away. No contact for 7 days until delivery driver calls to say that they are sitting in the driveway wondering when someone was going to be there. Well this was a work site and no one was there at that time since they DID NOT schedule the delivery! Still no call. Hire new dispatchers!
