1821 E High St, Springfield“Going in person is a great experience, everyone is usually lovely and kind to be around; the doctors and nurses seem to care and explain things to you. My only issue with this place is during my pregnancy whenever I've had a concern as a first time mom and have called to speak with a doctor or nurse about my concern, the nurse or doctor that returns my call talks to me like I'm stupid for being concerned or will laugh at you and mock you with others while actively on the phone. I've only had this experience twice, but it has made me feel insecure about calling whenever I have a concern. And I'm definitely not saying that every doctor and nurse there carries this attitude, it's just whoever returns my call (the second time I called the person didn't even tell me their name). It's invalidating and hurtful to experience. Hopefully my labor experience is more like the in person office visits, rather than the phone calls. If I were to be mocked, laughed at, or talked down on during labor like I have during the phone calls I would never return to or recommend this practice again.
Editing to update: my labor went wonderfully and Dr Jackson did amazing delivering my baby. I was very thankful to be in her care. She and the nurses at the hospital did great explaining things to me and being hospitable overall. I felt safe in their care the whole time. I'm still keeping my review at 4 stars sadly though just bc of whoever was mocking/laughing at me whenever I would call and have questions. I also would like to recommend Janelle for postpartum visits, she's very kind and caring.“
