It was like stepping back a hundred years in time. The furnishings and grandeur are breathtaking and everything is so quiet. Andrea and her husband (chef) were like old friends and we so enjoyed talking with them at breakfast. The history of the home was fascinating and thinking about how it was built without today's modern technology and equipment attests to the spirit and work ethics of America in that era. Back in those days successful people were admired and emulated. A return trip will be made for sure..
