“Words escape me on how to express my heartfelt thanks to Adam Will and Matt Milia in all they did to guide and assist in honoring my Aunt Bonnie. She was in the end-stage of Frontal-temporal disorder dementia. I questioned if I was doing the right thing by being there before her passing. I felt guilt along with a lot of pressure as there were a lot of people to satisfy but most importantly, my aunt entrusted me to carry out her final wishes. I was unsure about how to even start but knew much needed to be done. From my very first visit with Adam, to inquire about arrangements for my Aunt’s inevitable passing, I knew everything would be alright.Adam took great care in reassuring me that this was in fact the right thing to do and he would be there to help me through each step of the process. He offered grief counseling to me, but mostly he just listened. Knowing Bonnie wanted to be cremated, with no viewing or funeral service, Adam was able to guide me and suggest the best course to make sure those left behind would also have the opportunity for proper grieving and closure while carrying out her wishes. When it came to making hard decisions, Adam’s colleague Matt showed the same kindness and consideration. Their humor and bantering was appreciated and helped me relax. After each visit, I felt confident that I was making the best choices from beginning to end.On the afternoon of August 20th, surrounded by her siblings and other loved ones, Bonnie took her last breath. The staff at Roberts were so kind, suggesting we allow the siblings a little time with Bonnie before arriving at the home. The graveside service was perfect and I appreciate how accommodating and supportive they were in allowing our family to plan a service that properly honored this caring, wonderful, and loved woman.The care, professionalism and personable job they did was amazing. I will never be able to thank them enough for taking me from a total bewildered state to one of peace and comfort. May God richly bless you for all the love you personally showered upon us. Thank you for everything. I will be forever grateful.“
