The urgent care is great, which is the ONLY reason I'm giving 3 stars. We had an appointment with a CNP at Akron Children's in Mansfield. They changed the appointment to a different CNP when I specifically requested the first one. They didn't notify us of the change until I got my reminder text 2 days before the appointment that we would be seeing someone else and at a different time. So I canceled that and they can't get us in until the end of August again to see that specific CNP. I made the original appointment back on April 6th for CNP Thrush. The doctor’s are all very nice. The appointment making process is painful. Long hold times. You speak to a switchboard. And it is rare to snag a sick child appointment same day. You can not make a sick child appointment for the next morning. You have to wait until the next morning. You call and wait on hold to see if you win a appointment for your sick child. They do offer a urgent care that opens at 2pm. But the co pay for us for Urgent care is significantly higher than a doctor visit. The check in process needs help. You have to check in twice. Thank GOODNESS for Dr. Fain! I can’t say enough wonderful things about her. After months of being ignored about issues with my youngest son at his old office, I brought him here to see her after hearing good things and she was able to diagnose him with a milk protein intolerance and he’s been a different baby/toddler ever since! Not only that, she also seems to have a genuine interest in your children’s lives and how they’re doing. I’ve never had a question that she couldn’t answer!
