Mercy Health - Westside Urgent Care

I don’t normally leave reviews, but I was very upset by my visit. I went into this urgent care for a second opinion because I thought I had shingles and wanted to get medication sooner rather than later. The nurse, Heather, was very sweet and listened to my concerns. The NP, Randi, was very rude and made me feel dumb for seeking a second opinion, and basically told me I had razor burn and that she would do the same thing the first doctor did. She did prescribe me an antiviral for shingles after I pressed for it, but she made me feel very uncomfortable and paranoid. Turns out, I do have shingles! Kelly and her nurses were all wonderful and caring. They really listened to what I had to say and actually cared about getting me better. They were quick to get me back in there and everyone was very professional and polite!

I was exposed to step throat and started getting a sore throat. I was registered and taken to a room within minutes of arriving. History and throat swab was done quickly. Staff was friendly and efficient. Finished visit in less than 45 minutes. I would highly recommend Westside Urgent Care. Only issue was that exam table was not covered with paper. Otherwise a very good experience.
