Today I finally went to establish a new dentist office since moving to Lebanon. Like most people, I HATE going to the dentist, as they always seem to be so judgmental of my mouth, and c’mon, no one likes having someone pick at their teeth. Well, not only was I extremely anxious about my visit in general, but due to, well, life, I had to take my 1yr old with me to my appointment. Now, NORMALLY Luca is a freaking angel and I always have gotten compliments on how well behaved he is. But TODAY was the day he turned into a total MONSTER. A cute monster, but still a monster. I’m thinking he was teething due to his lower teeth starting to pop through, but I’ve NEVER witnessed this little boy cry and scream for OVER AN HOUR STRAIGHT as he did in this dentist office. I was MORTIFIED and even started to cry as my anxiety rose even higher. But honestly I cannot say enough positive things about the staff here. It seemed like every employee, doctors included, came to try to console Luca. They picked him up, walked with him, offered him toys, a blanket, honestly everything you could think of. Even though none of this worked or calmed him down, the staff was STILL so gracious and reassured me that I was doing a good job as a mom despite my visible embarrassment/anxiety. My dental hygienist Jen has been the BEST I have ever experienced. She reassured me, and still made sure to make me feel informed and educated on my oral hygiene. She was still very thorough in my cleaning and explained everything to me. She didn’t rush anything and never made me feel likeLuca and I had to hurry up and leave. Today easily could have been one of my most embarrassing days as a mommy. But this office and staff were just so so phenomenal. I absolutely recommend this office to anyone. The empathy, attention to detail, and patience will have me continue to be a patient here (though I may never bring Luca to my appointment again).
I have a real phobia of dental work. The whole staff here is amazing especially Dr Bob. He’s so patient and does excellent work. Everything is explained and you know exactly the charge for each visit with no surprises. Such a relief to finally find what I need in a dentist.
