About Hilliard Taekwondo Academy
Hilliard Taekwondo Academy is a highly recommended and positive experience for children. The instructors are amazing, and the programs are well-suited for young students. Toddlers learn to work together and control their bodies while having fun and burning off energy. The classes are structured and engaging, with a focus on discipline and self-improvement. The Academy offers a range of activities, including dodgeball, tournaments, and skills days, which have been beneficial for students, helping to improve their focus, confidence, and self-defense skills.
We love Hilliard Taekwondo Academy! Ms. Thompson and her team of instructors are great role models for our kids. They have helped my two daughters grow so much over the last four years. More than just martial arts, Ms Thompson teaches life skills like how to handle bullies, how to be resilient in the face of disappointment, and how to respect boundaries. The studio is always clean, communication to parents is always clear and timely. We are grateful for the consistency and routine that Hilliard Taekwondo Academy has added to our life!
Welcoming and respectful while having boundaries as they’re a place of learning. My kids have loved the academy and the faculty for years now. I can’t recommend this place enough.
My son earned his black belt at Hilliard Taekwondo Academy and decided to step away to play lacrosse, but unfortunately, he never received his final certificate—the one that marked his achievement of becoming a black belt. I reached out to Miss Thompson, the owner, to request a reprint along with some end of year documents, but she refused. It was disappointing to see our journey end on that note, especially after feeling like part of this community. We had even planned on returning after lacrosse season, but this experience changed my mind.
