What a cute, comfy, hometown salon! Meredith is my hair God! She always listens to needs, guides me through good hair choices, and does exactly what I ask of her! Would highly recommend!

I past this place a million times before I realized it was open. I had an appointment with "CJ" just to do my roots. She spent a lot of time with me and made me feel confident that she knew what she was doing. She did a fantastic job. I've since been back for a cut, a full head color ( she got me back to a gorgeous shimmery brown) and on occasion I'll go in for a blowout. The products they use are excellent, the place is spotless and I would recommend it to anyone- especially for color and hi lights. I only say that because I'm growing my hair and she just does a light dusting to clean up my ends, but I've seen her cut the most precise angled bob that almost got me to cave and cut my own hair. I'm now a regular.

I had the same stylist for about 8 years and then I moved across country to New Orleans. After countless hours online researching salons, I decided to try Stardust's Harrison Ave location because it's near my work. The salon is bright, open, and clean. It's got a nice industrial vibe, but is still warm and feels neighborhood-y because of the cute residential street it's on. CJ IS AMAZING. Not only is it clear that she knows her stuff, but she explained very clearly every step of the process as we went along. I had recently become blonde before moving and the humidity in New Orleans was making my hair do stuff it's never done before. I had kind of resigned myself to looking like crap because I just couldn't figure out what was wrong with my hair or how to style it. Not only did CJ give me a cut that helps my curl do its thing, she also explained why my previous cut wasn't working, and demonstrated some pretty amazing Kevin Murphy products that I ended up buying because they worked wonders on my thin, frizzy white girl hair. CJ was not only a great stylist, but also read me very well. She let me read when I wanted to read, and chatted when I wanted to chat. It felt like I've known her for years (and I'm usually pretty awkward on the first meeting...) Gone is my brassy blonde 'do that looked like a frazzled Christmas tree. Hello to a soft, beautiful blonde and a cut that makes me feel like a million bucks. I'm definitely happy to keep spending my money here.
