Hess' Oriental Martial Arts offers real Tae Kwon Do and real jujitsu for all ages. It is no gimme belt class; students earn it every step. The teacher is very good with kids, showing both techniques and discipline, and is skilled in many arts. The level of coaching and the level of the students is high from the very first class. Students get more than expected, with great experiences that provide a strong foundation for accomplishment in martial arts.
Mr. Hess is very good with showing kids both techniques and discipline that helps us as parents at home. I recommend his classes to all ages. Our daughter is going on 2 years here and she loves it!
My 2 girls are students.. not only is the teacher skilled in many arts but it is so smooth.. you can see from the very first class the level of coaching.. the level of the students.. this is no gimme belt class.. you will earn it every step.. and what your students will get is more than you will expect.. if you want real Tae Kwon do real jujitsu you found the right place....
Mr. Hess was my instructor while I attended college at BGSU. Since then I have moved to Chicago and I have been studying various martial arts for over 20 years, earning a black belt in Brazilian jiujitsu under Carlson Gracie Jr and I have opened my own Academy. I don't think I would have accomplished any of this if I didn't have such a great experience under Mr. Hess. I have trained under some of the most famous names in martial arts and Mr. Hess is still one of my favorite instructors I've had.
