After 10 months of trying to find a barber in Ohio who could actually fade properly, I finally found my spot at Carillo’s Barber Lounge with Victor. Coming from Detroit, my standards are high — clean fades, proper blending, and someone who actually understands head shape, beard density, and how hair grows. Victor nailed it. The fade is clean, even, and balanced, and the beard work was done with intention, not just chopped down. He took the time to explain what he was doing, showed me in the mirror where the lines were set so everything fills in correctly, and made sure the cut worked for me, not just a generic style. The shop itself has a great atmosphere — professional, relaxed, and welcoming. You can tell they care about the craft here. This is the first time since moving to Ohio that I walked out genuinely confident in my cut. If you’ve been bouncing around barbershops looking for someone who can actually fade and shape a beard right, stop looking. Victor and Carillo’s Barber Lounge are it. I’ll be a regular from here on out.
