This Historic Golf course should be on any real golfers bucket list. And if you live within an hour and golf then you definitely should hit it as much as possible. The history of this place, the man who built it and the families legacy in golf was incredible. MS Powell walked up through the museum and even caught me on the back nine and gave me a few pointers. This is the only Black, designed and owned golf course in the world! And I saved that for last because like I said if you call yourself a golfer, black, white or whatever this should be like Mecca to you. The course itself... beautiful! The HISTORY behind this course is the best reason to go and visit.
To Play: The hills, the woods, and the water traps make it challenging and a mystery (where your ball landed) but very fun to play.
I will definitely be back to try to beat my score and to see Renee Powell. Her dedication to her family legacy and customer service is admired and top notch.
