Dublin Physical Medicine offers a great facility and staff, with Dr. Kerner providing excellent care and a comfortable bedside manner. The imaging process is routine, but some issues arise with billing. Despite HIPAA regulations allowing patients to receive email communications with their personal health information, the billing department has a policy of not emailing bills due to concerns of being stalked and murdered. Despite this, the medical practice is known for treating patients with kindness, respect, and professionalism over the years.
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Kerner for many years due to a chronic condition. He was the first specialist to offer compassionate, understanding care.
His staff are friendly and helpful as well.
My experience getting imaging done was pleasant and routine my issue rests with Billing.I paid my bill in full then called two weeks later to get a copy of my bill, for insurance reimbursement. The billing person said she couldn't email me a copy because of HIPPA. Then she said that it was the owner's policy that did not permit her to email me a copy of my bill because her email contained her name and a patient may stalk and kill her.HIPPA Compliance Regulation 45 C.F.R. § 164.530(c) of HIPPA's regulations states that a patient has the right to receive email communications that include their personal health information (PHI) if the patient asks for it.Dublin Physical...read full review
I have been going to Dr. Kerner for the last three years. Out of those three years I have been treated with kindness, respect and professionally. Dr. K listens, ask questions, and responds to my questions. Overall, he's an amazing Dr!
