This place has no regard for humanity at all. I came with my nephew who was referred by the hospital he was discharged from, we were told to wait for 5+ hrs just for an assessment to be told that they are not a drug rehab spot.
I was pissed after staying there for 6+ hours with no help at all.
Why don’t you just say at the beginning when you took the discharge paperwork that this place is not a drug rehab spot? That could have saved us time and we could have looked for another spot?
JIJI the from lady is rude and will not eve. Answer your question politely.
AVOID THIS PLACE.
My stay at Dublin Springs was indeed helpful in getting back on my meds and getting myself back on track. HOWEVER, my personal items were severely mismanaged and improperly inventoried. In particular there is a piece of jewelry of sentimental value to me that I never got back. This is frustrating and concerning, as it went missing from my personal overnight bag. Being on the other side, I have realized how all of this made me feel… taken advantage of. If you do go, don’t take items of importance to you. They say you have access to your belonging but not all of the staff really practice that. Similarly— Some of the staff seem to practice by rules they don’t understand or “rules” that aren’t real Columbus Springs Dublin rules. For example, I was there when it was most recently freezing cold and snow was thick on the ground: the staff didn’t want me out in the snow but I knew I needed fresh air (and I do happen to love playing in the snow). The only way to get outside was to take a cigarette break… but I am not a habitual smoker. I picked up cigarettes while inside the program so that I could have fresh air. Isn’t that completely backwards for a program that supposedly works towards smoking cessation? The second half of my week was better because of changes to staff and thusly, I believe, a culture of what was permissible.
I was a visitor here for a family member, and I’ve never seen a more shameful facility that “prioritized mental well being”. Your security was not adequate, I remember walking with an employee and a consultation door near the entrance was left open with a patient in a gown with no supervision or safety measures put in place, not to mention the lack of respect for this patient’s privacy by doing this to them (the patient had an altered mental state and didn’t seem fully conscious). Your psychiatrist was extremely rude, dismissive, and didn’t seem to know what she was doing in terms of patient care (giving bad advice, giving incorrect information, etc). The...read full review
