Top Level Martial Arts is a well-run academy with professional and kind instructors who prioritize safety and cleanliness. The kids' classes are disciplined and structured, making them a great experience for children. The community is warm and welcoming, with a wide schedule and skilled coaches.
Staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable. They encourage drop ins and encourage their students to drop into other gyms as well. You'd be hard pressed to find another gym with the availability that is at top level. They make it so no matter your schedule there is a class for you. There is an actual progression structure and knowledge test for rank, while some other gyms tend to give promotion based solely off of time in service.
We have been going to Top Level for over a year and decided to try someplace closer. We Quickly realized how amazing the teachers are at Top Level and came right back to this one even though it’s a half an hour further- it’s worth it. These guys are so fun, but yet always down to business. I highly recommend bringing your children here.
Top Level Martial Arts is outstanding. I attended Kendall’s 11 am Nogi Open Ranks class. Kendall is an excellent teacher. He is thorough and practical, teaching all the important details of high percentage moves. He’s also patient and just a fantastic teacher in general. He made sure we all understood, never rushed us, and kept the class engaging. I’m in my 50s and was the oldest guy by far, but I had excellent, safe rolls with a bunch of really good, really athletic younger guys.
