I was a bit nervous after reading the reviews but once I got there, my concerns evaporated. My room was impeccably clean and the bed was comfy. The room could use a table-level office chair and my only bone of contention was that my room didn't have a do not disturb sign for the door & I specifically tokd the front desk at check-in to please not send in housekeeping. I prefer to settle into a space and not have it disturbed, but housekeeping did go in and clean. Minor gripe on the grand scheme of things.Walkability: Right next door to the Southern Theatre and an 8 or so minute walk from Katzinger's Deli.Noteworthy details: The lobby is amazing!
The room was fine, the bed and pillows were comfy. The air/ heat worked great. The happy hour was a nice touch. Pool had probably 30 kids in it... They were having a blast.The only issue is they double charged me for one night and I still haven't been refunded. :(
Dear Marriott ManagementI am writing today to express my disappointment with the management at the Westin Great Southern Columbus. As a Marriott member since 2008 with over 750 nights and lifetime status I was stunned at the lack of compassion, concern and overall terrible service when our car was broken into while staying at your hotel on the night of 12/30/23. I understand that the parking at this location is outside and we are responsible for any thefts or damages. What surprised me was the attitude of the manager when we were notified of the break-in.
