I'm giving them one star, due to the professionally security guard. Who wanted to be racist and kick me out. After I got discharged from having a sickle cell crisis because I was waiting in the lobby for my ride for an hour and decided to fall asleep because I was still under heavy medication. He Thought I was homeless and I was trying to stay there. So he end up putting me out to wait for my ride while it cold outside.. I would NVA BE GOING TO THERE and I will be posting the video of our encounter on all social media platforms so that security officer can get exactly what you deserve. Attention!!
My doctor and nurses have been pretty friendly and compassionate; good bedside manner and definitely very humanizing -- highly respectful and attentive to my needs. I'm here getting my foot treated because I stepped on a nail in my yard. I bought my house a week ago so I had no idea what all is my yard, my fence has a hole in it that my Aussie is entirely too aware of-- he dodged me, and the nail filled plank that I totally stepped on and the rest is history! For all the bad rep Mt Carmel West gets, the staff here have all been alright by me. I just got a text that the antibiotics the doc prescribed for my foot are ready and I haven't even been discharged yet. That's exceptional. I've literally only been here an hour. The xray technician came to me in my room as opposed to me waiting to be dragged off to a lab, which I'm stoked about too! Fast results. I'd come back if I have to; hopefully, I won't .
My least favorite of the Mount Carmel locations I have visited. Visited here for two outpatient specialist visits with different. My first visit was OK. My second visit was scheduled six months out, and on the day of the appointment, when I was in the parking garage at the facility, I got a call my appointment was cancelled. This was after I had taken the full day off work, waited six months, and organized a ride for myself. I was then told they would call me back to reschedule later that day. This visit was around September 2016 and I have still never gotten that call haha.
