Dehlco Construction is a company that handles large remodeling and construction projects, including bathroom, kitchen, and basement finishing, as well as major work like garage demolition and reconstruction, patios, driveways, fencing, and electrical service moves. The final results of their work are often good, with specific elements like stucco, paver patios, and subcontracted electrical, roofing, framing, and fencing appearing well done. The team and employees are described as polite, nice, responsive, communicative, and easy to work with when attention is given. They do a very good job of restoring and finishing spaces as requested. However, a significant and frustrating aspect noted is an overall lack of communication and responsiveness. There can be long periods without activity on a project, and it is difficult to get timely responses to questions or to know the daily schedule. This can lead to a feeling that a project is a 'fill-in' job. While the quality of the completed work is often graded well, this communication issue causes some hesitation in giving a full recommendation, despite the company being highly recommended by other clients who would hire them again for future projects.
Needed to waterproof our finished basement, and hired Dehlco to remove everything that was down there and then replace it when the waterproofing (done by a different company) was completed. Dehlco was great- team was polite, responsive, communicative and did a very good job or restoring the space as requested. Highly recommend, would hire again for future projects.
We contracted with Dehlco for a large project in late 2022. The work began in June 2023 and completed in January 2024. The project involved the demolition of an existing 1200 sqft garage, the construction of a new 900 sqft garage in an adjacent location, a paver patio, and new concrete driveway. In addition, the main electrical service was moved from the house to the garage with underground service to a new panel in the house and the backyard was enclosed by a cedar privacy fence. There was a lot going on.

My kitchen remodel was just finished by Dehlco Construction and I am very pleased with the result. Matt Dehlendorf, the owner of the company, had an excellent vision of how to turn this old kitchen into an efficient and convenient place to cook.His crew and subcontractors did high quality work.But the best characteristic of Matt is his dependability and timeliness, always informing me of the next step in the project. Overall, Matt is talented, trustworthy, and generous.I highly recommend him and his crew.
