I unfortunately got scratched in the eye by a dog & needed to get it looked at. I called several other eye doctors & either they didn’t cover my insurance, never called back, weren’t sure & they would call to verify my insurance was covered etc.. BUT here, I called they cover anthem Medicaid & I explained the situation and they worked me in THAT SAME DAY. My exam wasn’t rushed & I felt understood & taken seriously. The dr was also very kind & personable & patient. The receptionist & doctor both were terrific. & they helped me figure out what glasses I could get covered too. I just had my first visit with Dr Smith and I couldn't be happier he's very friendly and doesn't rush through the exam and he explained everything to me I would recommend him to anyone the receptionist was just as friendly and helpful nice clean little office it is street parking but I was able to park right in front with no problem

I am saddened by these posts that I see on here about Dr. Smith. I have been a long time patient of his and so are all my children. I would not recommend going to anyone else. I went to Spex and they told me that my daughter who was around 5 at the time needed very serious glasses. the ones they ordered had extremely thick lenses on them, and she complained she couldn't see anything and they made her head hurt. I took her then to Dr. Smith, who told me that though my daughter was a little near sighted, at her age it wouldn't do any good for her to have glasses, and guess what...
