“My experience with and participation in the Estate Dogs training has truly been a pivotal chapter in both my life and the journey with my K9 companion! I have an almost 1-year-old European Dobermann, and we embarked on this adventure with Shawn from Estate Dogs when my pup was just about 7 1/2 months old. Shawn took the time to evaluate my pup and crafted a program specifically designed for our unique needs and the goals I had in mind for training. The in-person training program has been incredibly enlightening, revealing so much about both myself and my dog. The before and after is incredible. I get so many compliments on how well mannered and obedient my pup is!

Shawn possesses an extraordinary depth of knowledge regarding dog and human behavior patterns along with nonverbal communication. His insights have reshaped my understanding of the training process and the essence of the K9 partnership. I've come to realize that as handlers, we must rely on ourselves to properly teach and guide our dogs, just as much as we depend on them to absorb our lessons. This journey has taught me invaluable patience, not only with my animal but with myself as well.

Throughout the training, Shawn continuously assessed both my and my dog's needs, making thoughtful adjustments to the program whenever necessary. He also invited me to participate in group training sessions, which provided outstanding opportunities to enhance my dog's socialization skills and improve our communication with distractions.

“Brett did an amazing job working with our 5 month old German Shepherd. Our puppy did the Jump Start +1 program, two days of training with one overnight stay. We are thrilled with the results.

During our initial consultation, Brett took the time to explain his approach to training and answer all of my many questions!

During training, Brett used agility work to help build our puppy's confidence while also learning obedience commands. We were concerned about proper socialization, this was addressed through training as our dog worked with Brett's dog, Roman, to learn proper interaction from a balanced dog. Over the course of the two days, we received video and text updates.

When we picked our puppy up, Brett went over all the work they did and taught us how to implement obedience commands and continue his training at home. He also took the time to answer all of our follow-up questions Our 5 month old puppy used to pull and swerve all over when walking, he now walks on a loose leash in heel position! He also is excelling in sit and down stays. I took him to Home Depot yesterday and he let two strangers approach and pet him without barking; this is one of the goals I have for him.

Brett offers a variety of different training packages depending on your dog's needs. He also focuses on the importance of you participating and continuing training. These points were key for me as I was looking for a trainer who would focus on the needs of my dog and help me learn how to set him up for continued success.“

“I have had dogs for 60 years and when I lived in Lancaster they were patients of Dr. Bonham and I never had one reason to complain. In fact, I had two dogs euthanized at two different times and was treated with great kindness throughout the process. The whole office was very professional and helpful. If I still lived in the lancaster area I would still take my dog to this practice.“

“We took our rescue, Tillie, to Allison after two very scary attacks on other dogs in the household. We did the 2 week board and train and it has made such a difference! Not only did she teach tillie commands but also taught us how to spot and manage signs of conflict in the house (even taking time during the home visit to work with the other dog). We could not be more impressed with Tillies progress. She sent daily progress videos and was responsive to any questions we had after training was complete. If you are here checking reviews like I did because you were afraid you’d have to rehome your dog please give Allison a call! We checked with another trainer first and they said it wouldn’t work because tillie was too old.“
