New to yoga, I am glad to be in such great company in both Yoga Place and Yoga Central. These are beautiful and welcoming centers and I feel lucky to gain a better understanding of how to retain and gain strength through yoga. Every staff member that I have met has been extremely knowledgeable and supportive in such a way that I am honored to be in their presence. After just a few months of attending a variety of beginner classes, I’m already feeling stronger and understanding more about how to strengthen myself, elongating the spine before I twist, and breathing to calm my nervous system. My first visit, today for the Barre Class with instructor Pamela Sayre and I can say 5 stars all the way. As a middle-aged man I had sort of been stuck in linear thinking when it comes to working out and did not really understand or see a need to vary this. Since my teen years all of my exercises have been dominated by front to back exercises. Bench pressing, deadlift, squat, pull up, sit up and all sorts of other press and/or pull movements. Even my cardio has always been cycling, walking or rowing which is all front to back movement. I had an AMAZING experience at Yoga Central! Everyone was kind, welcoming, and I had such a phenomenal experience with my restorative yoga and sound bath event. Mike was wonderful, and I hope to take more classes with him soon.
