I received a quote for $20k and I was told my only option was to rip out everything from the street to the basement and dig. The tech claimed that my main line needed to be replaced because it was clogged. It was a complete lie. The main line was not clogged and had never clogged the entire 15 years I've owned this property. I appreciated the time they took to come out and evaluate only to realize that they created a false narrative that my situation was desperate and their solution was my only option.
