I needed a small hem alteration on a bridesmaid chiffon double-layer dress that was too long even with my heels on. They were very helpful and knowledgeable and suggested a good length to take in while I wore the dress and my shoes. They pinned it and drew a white chalky line with a spray while I turned around in the dress on a platform, and they directed me well. The alteration costed $65 which I am not too sure compares to market, but I have heard of other tailors nearby charging more. It is a formal pleated dress with lots of fabric, but it was not a very expensive dress. It is extra if you pay with credit card, so I made sure to bring cash when I picked it up. I was not in a rush, so they suggested a little under two weeks to pick it up. Picking it up was not a problem. I was a little surprised they didn't suggest that I try it on after the alteration, but I kept the receipt just in case. When I tried it on, I was very happy with the results. The hem looked good and even and no longer catches on my heels when I walk.

I went to have my gown altered and the zipper fixed due to it getting stuck 1/2 way up. I needed the length taken up and the halter part made tighter around the neck. I will give credit for having it done quickly and the length was done well. However, the zipper wasn't fixed and I asked when I picked it up if it was fixed. At the time of my alterations I mentioned it several times it needed to be done. I should have checked my error when I picked it up. The neckline wasn't done, the clasp to hold the neck closed was hanging by a string. Our go-to dry cleaner & tailor. My husband drops off his dry cleaning here weekly (dress shirts and suits) and I rely on them for quality alterations. We've tried a couple of different places in the area in recent years, and Beau Geste Cleaners is definitely the most fairly priced for both dry cleaning and alterations. Especially for dresses - casual and formal (including sequined items) - they've always done quality alterations for me and family/friends that I've recommended. Been coming here for 5+ years now.
