More than a decade ago, I started going to this office to see Dr. Jay Lerman, who was a phenomenal dermatologist. I stopped going to him because he retired recently, and since then, I've seen Dr. Fried a few times. I've had hair loss from lupus occasionally for 11 years and I've used a few products since then to re-grow my hair when it falls out from time to time. About a month ago, Dr. Fried sold me a product called "ProHair for Women" to help my hair grow back. I've been using it for about a month, and I now have a bunch of hair growing all over my face, something I've never experienced from any other product I've used over the years for hair loss. I am so embarrassed because I have a mustache and hair growing on my chin and the sides of my face. If I had known this was a possible side effect, I would have never purchased this $100 out-of-pocket product from Dr. Fried. What other side effects does he hide from patients to make a profit? I scheduled another appointment with Dr. Fried today, so that I could ask what to do about this hair on my face. I don't know if it's OK to shave it, wax it, do laser, etc. or if it will be permanent. After more than an hour of sitting in his waiting room, a receptionist told me Dr. Fried would not see me until I paid $50 I owe from a visit in 2023, which is insane, because I always pay my bills in full and he has seen me twice as a patient since that 2023 visit and never said a word about me owing him money. His office also never called me about that. After arguing about that, and the fact that I now need this SECOND dermatological issue resolved, the receptionist told me Dr. Fried wouldn't see me today. Can you imagine a doctor causing a second problem for his patient AND THEN telling them that he won't resolve it because of some bogus bill he made up from two years before? Absolutely insane. And then on top of that, he knows I'm visiting him today in New York from Denver (where I live now) to get this issue resolved-- truly a slap in the face by an office I've been a loyal to for over a decade. I would save yourself the trouble and go to another dermatologist. I see now why this practice has so many bad reviews. The receptionists are rude to patients, and wait times are always long, as you'll see repeatedly written about in most other reviews. And obviously, his care is far less than subpar. He's lost me, my mom and my step dad as patients today. As I look for a new dermatologist to help me with this new issue, I see there are many others in the area that have far better reviews. His office's response today is a perfect example of why people think health care in this country is a joke.

I was a new patient at this facility and let’s say I will never go there again the receptionist at the front desk is beyond disrespectful and very unprofessional. I called to complain that it took them a week to have my prescription sent to my pharmacy and I was hung up by their receptionist they do not care if you are there they will curse at each other as if they are out in streets. I would never recommend this facility to anyone. Whoever is thinking about going there DONT !

This office is the poorest run doctor’s office I have ever encountered. The doctor himself is not bad, but it says volumes that he allows his office to be run this way. I have been waiting a month for a prescription to be called in to my pharmacy.
    Ridiculous
