Terry Leahy was wonderful with my son. She helped him prepare for the Earth Science regents, as he felt under-confident in his ability to study and pass on his own. She was flexible with scheduling, met him where he was in terms of knowledge, taught him content as well as strategies on how to approach/take the exam. She brought many of her own materials, including her rock collection, to help him prep for the practical exam. We were lucky to have her and would absolutely recommend her as a tutor!
The Staff at Long Island Tutorial Services is absolutely AMAZING!!! From the care and detail that Diane and Dr Olsen have when matching my children to their tutors, to literally driving to my children’s school to get their work when the school didn’t email it. I can’t say enough about how much I love this entire team. I wish I had the option to have this entire staff teaching me when I was in school.Shaun S is above and beyond as a tutor. My son is on the spectrum and a very difficult case. He takes time to warm up to anyone. At the first meeting my son jumped into his arms and hugged him. Robin Maynard has been tutoring my daughter Jillian Biondo for a few months now. She has been wonderful in tutoring Jillian and making this experience very rewarding. Jillian suffers from anxiety and Robin is so wonderful and patient with her. Jillian looks forward to their sessions. Jillian Is academically doing great and is very comfortable with Robin. Robin challenges her and helps her when she doesn’t understand. I thank her so much for all her help with Jillian.
