Initially bought an inexpensive fan combo from Ebay motors for $275. I was constantly watching temp gauge as it hovered around the 230 mark and higher when running AC. With the combo Fan/shroud unit from Wizard temp now range from 180-195 degrees. With the Wizard unit you don't have to worry about overheating, but you pay for it. The good units start at $1500 and up. But, for the peace of mind it's worth it. 5 stars!!!
Wizard was recommended by a friend/fabricator when I couldn’t keep my 68 Barracuda cool in the summer. He had to cut and modify the radiator support to fit the larger radiator and fans, but they work great!! So good that I have the same setup on order right now for my Dart.
Living in Florida you can imagine the overheating issues we have down here. I did a lot of reading and web searching and finally settled on the nuclear option. I went all in with Wizard Cooling’s top of the line radiator and brushless fan set up. Jim set me up with some custom touches I needed and the rad/shroud/fan setup arrived in a few weeks. I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER! Where I would once overheat in traffic the car not settles around 170 to 175 degrees WITH THE AC ON!
