“Had to get a large old pine tree in the backyard of my family home in Hampton Bays removed quickly. The high winds from recent storms were bringing down large branches. I needed to have it removed before heavy snow or rain caused major damage. Juan from PJR returned my call in a timely manner. I explained my problem & PJR checked out the tree gave me an estimate pretty quickly. Juan answered all of my questions and concerns. A team of 5 guys, led by Jose arrived exactly when they said they would. They were professional, efficient, and diligent. They cleaned as they went and impressed the heck out of my neighbor. They needed to come back the following morning to finish up. They arrived promptly at 8:30 and made quick work out of finishing up. I had requested a smaller additional tree removed, which they got done in no time. These guys have awesome skills and work together like a well-oiled machine. I couldn't be there but received photos of the completed job, and a friend kept on eye on the work being done. Juan kept me informed. Having a large tree removed is expensive but PRJ was gave me a good price and excellent service. They are a family run business of skilled professionals. I have already recommended them & my neighbors seeing them in action were seriously impressed. If you need a tree removed or have Landscaping needs call Juan or Jose and you will be a happy that you did. Tell them I sent you.“

“Had Cutting Edge come to trim back branches on a very tall tree that is on my neighbors property. They did a quick, excellent job trimming all the way to the top using some pretty great equipment given the small space they had to work with. They were courteous to my neighbor’s property and were very helpful in moving items on my property out of the way and then back when done. Highly recommend them!“

“Freakin' AMAZING!Sometimes trimming or removing a tree can change your life (or even save it).We had two gigantic (100 ft) pines behind our home, which has a small backyard. These are our neighbors' trees and they encroached on our side, leaving us with millions of needles, thousands of pine cones and sap everywhere. We also faced roof and gutter damage and less sun in the backyard.. It was progressively disgusting!Recently, one showed signs of dying, with many branches brown and needles falling in a continual rain. We informed the neighbor, but as these branches were on our side, they were our responsibility to deal with. So, that is what we did. Any branch pointing toward our home needed to be trimmed - all the way up.We searched for a tree trimming service who could trim the pines all the way up and found LaMay's Tree Service, in Huntington, New York.The first reason we called LaMay's was that they had trucks with Cherry-Pickers. You'll see this device in the photos, but a cherry-picker is the thing you'll see a power company use to get to the lines on a pole - a person sits in a basket that sits at the end of an arm which extends up. Our thinking was that a cherry-picker was the only way we were going to get to the tip-top of these trees - and we felt we had sufficient access to the backyard so that a cherry-picker could get right back there (but we were unsure of that part - and could it extend high enough..100 ft is pretty high).Jason from LaMay's arrived and we were immediately impressed. This is a genuine "Tree Guy", and he knows the business of tree trimming. He looked at the trees and pointed out that they were in decline - he noted that eventually they needed to come down (or they would fall down) - We wanted it down sooner (like immediately - at least on our side). Just by sight, Jason assessed their truck could enter the backyard, and plywood would be used to protect the lawn.But the most amazing thing was that Jason, on his own, walked over to our neighbors, knocked on the door and explained the situation and requested permission to trim the branches back to the tree trunk, which he instructed was the right way to do the job - rather than leaving branch segments that stopped at the property line. Whatever he said to the neighbor, Jason returned with a Big Thumbs Up. What a relief! I think we hired LaMay's and Jason just because he did that one part - He talked to the neighbors for us! You might not know, but tree issues are the root of many a neighbor dispute - but Jason handled that with ease and professionalism - LaMay's was hired!They arrived a few days later (just Jason and TWO workers) with a HUGE truck and we wondered if there were more workers coming - this was no small job - and we wondered whether the truck would really fit through our backyard entrance way. The truck driver and other fellow navigated the truck with ease and within minutes, there was a BIG truck with a cherry-picker parked in our backyard. I observed that the truck fit by a matter of fractions of an inch. How Jason knew it would fit only further amazed me.So one guy strapped up and got into the cherry-picker, the other remained on the ground to collect the branches and feed them into the chopper. TWO GUYS - JUST TWO - that is all it took. And within 2.5 hours, they were done and cleaned out our yard of all debris. (Oh and they trimmed a few other trees as well.)We could not be happier!WOW - just like that. Our lives have changed. No more branches and plenty of sun. No more needles, cones, and now I can clean the gutters ONCE a year rather than the SIX to TEN times I was doing (for a long time).That's our story.We highly recommend LaMay's Tree Service for any tree work you may have, and be sure to ask for Jason when you call because that guy knows his business. He will take AMAZING care of you, just as he did with us. Freakin' AMAZING!“

“I had Michael, an arborist from Bartlett, come out to look at our sick weeping cherry tree.I had had two other tree experts here previously. The reason I was looking for a third opinion was because the two previous companies came up with entirely different diagnoses and solutions. Also, I wasn't convinced about the expertise of one of the experts, and the other expert came up with a diagnosis and solution without examining the tree.Michael, on the other hand, did a deep dive into the tree's condition, from looking at the bark, the base of the tree and inside the stems, to observing the surrounding plantings, looking at the soil makeup and moisture, and a lot more. Incredibly thorough!Additionally, Michael is just a genuinely nice guy who is obviously committed to his work that is clearly more than a job to him.I am not a family member of Michael's, and I didn't know Bartlett before calling them a couple of days ago. So my observations are genuine.While there's not much hope for my cherry, we will definitely be calling Michael at Bartlett first for any other tree issues we have down the road. Thank you Michael!“

“UPDATE: spoke with the owner Arty, who wants to make sure I’m happy, that to me goes a long way, they came back and fixed the problem and the fence, 1 minor problem that also is getting done, so I am very happy with the end result. So I will be changing my review from a 2 to a 4.I’m sorry to say that I was not happy with the service. Nor was i happy with ed’s attitude. The town hired them to take down trees and grind them. Needless to say I am outside, cutting up all the roots and leveling the dirt because all they did was cover the roots that was sticking up with wood chips and dirt. They broke my fence and replaced it with, something that is not straight. I am sad that I didn’t get the service everyone else did.Services: Tree stump grinding“
