“I think sometime in 2021 or 2022 I wanted to get my lip pierced as a celebration of COVID being for the most part done and over with, and not having to wear a mask while I worked at Walmart at that time. Only ran me about $30, and they had me in super quick with a walk in, which is great because I was terrified and almost changed my mind last second. The piercer, she did great and quick work. One quick ouchie poke through and it was done. The pain was like a second or two, and I somewhat passed out after, staff were attentive and accommodating to me, letting me lie down for a few minutes. The piercing healed up perfectly, and I got that rocker aesthetic I was looking for with the lip ring. Likely my first and only piercing, but given how that work was done, if I find myself back in upstate NY, I could see myself getting some ink here, too.”
