About Best Friends Doggie Day Spa
Best Friends Doggie Day Spa is an excellent dog grooming facility, considered the best in the vicinity. The team includes many recommended groomers and bathers who are amazing, friendly, patient, and kind. They are attentive, know what they are doing, and truly care for pets, treating them like family. They are understanding and non-judgmental, even with pets in desperate need or with very matted coats. The groomers are skilled with all types of dogs and cats, including squirmy ones, and work well with hectic schedules. They explain all grooming options and note health concerns, like allergies. Pets have a blast during their visit and come out beautiful, looking and feeling great, like a whole new dog. Owners are advised to book appointments in advance as the facility gets busy. A significant downside is that payment is cash or check only. While most experiences are highly positive, one specific groomer at this location has been associated with an unprofessional experience and a serious health concern involving an infection from grooming. Overall, the facility is highly recommended for its excellent, caring service.
Absolutely love Best Friends! Miss Daisy’s favorite place to be🥰 could not recommend them enough!! 10/10
I DO recommend many groomers and bathers at Best Friends, they really care for our dog and he just loves going to see all his friends. I do not, however, recommend Theresa who operates from this location. We initially had a very unprofessional experience with this groomer's policies and decided just to see a different groomer. However, right after that unprofessional experience and his final groom with her, our dog got an infection on his genitals. Due to the severity of the infection, we took him to the vet immediately and it was put on record as being from his recent grooming. The veterinarian shared that this type of infection happens from razor burn with the use of trimmers that are old, dull, too hot, or damaged. *It can also happen if the grooming is not done correctly around sensitive areas.* We groom him ourselves and take him to see a groomer, this has never been the experience. I figure, at this point, it’s a good idea to share our experience because it moved past a policy disagreement and into health concerns. I am not going to share the pictures. UPDATE: I posted the above review initially to Theresa's direct page. She then deleted it and I can no longer see her page. I will also point out that he is a Labradoodle with floppy ears. His ears ARE NOT infected, they just have a regular build-up which we take care of multiple times a week with all the proper and necessary drops and medications. We also have this wax build-up checked on through his vet care. We take care of our dog, his healthcare, his diet, and his well-being.
