Sue is the best ! I could not find a place in Syracuse (where I currently live) for the past 3 years that does sugaring. I googled a place in Utica and came across the Cutting Edge Salon. It was closed but when I called her to make an appointment she took the time to leave her location and make it back to the shop to sugar me. She is the best and recommend anyone looking for a sugar place to go to the Cutting Edge Salon. This definitely will not be my 1st time !!! Thank you.

This is the only place in the area that does body sugaring. I was looking for the service since waxing is too harsh and I've reached my plateau with laser hair treatments since my hair is so light. I was treated by Sue and Gillian. The salon is currently under construction; they are building a new room for sugaring, so it's a little chaotic. But from the first moment you step in you can tell what a welcoming place it is. Sue is so friendly and chatty. Everyone who walked in was so happy to be there. It was like being at cocktail hour at 11:00 am. So much laughter. Gillian did most of my sugaring. She explained the process, let me taste the sugar (!) and was super knowledgeable about its history and uses. I will say it took some time - around two hours for both full legs and my "bunny" (as Sue calls it) aka a Brazilian. The cost was $80. My legs are so smooth. The process wasn't totally painless but much less aggravating than waxing or shaving. Can't wait to go back... if just for a glass of wine and the company.
