Ulta Beauty continues to win me over. I’ve had my hair blown out here, my son has gotten a kids’ cut, and this time I had my makeup done for a wedding. Every service has been great, the people are genuinely nice, and the pricing is hard to beat.

As for the makeup… apparently this stuff was built to survive an apocalypse. I came home from the wedding, was exhausted, and went straight to bed without washing my face. I KNOW. 🤢 But when I woke up the next morning, I still looked surprisingly good. The makeup had staying power, to say the least. My skincare routine was horrified, but my makeup was thriving.

I cannot recommend Samantha at Ulta Beauty enough! I booked a last-minute appointment with naturally black Asian hair and some old bleached ends, hoping to achieve a 90s honey blonde. She was incredibly meticulous with her foiling, took her time, and she set realistic expectations about how long the appointment would take, how much lift was possible in one session, and made sure I understood the process every step of the way.

I went to the salon at Ulta for the first time today and I was thoroughly impressed with Braelee! She is a natural with fashion colors (plus she’s extremely sweet). Looking forward to seeing her again!
