I have had the pleasure of having Robert as my barber for 25 years, he was trained in Italy. And handles his shears with the expertise of a surgeon. He always engages you in conversation and knows everyone in the Suffern /Sloatsburg area, as he has been making people look good for over 40 years. Appointment only, and off on Wed and Sunday,

Updating my previous review as it is 3 years since I wrote it. Robert is the best barber you can find. Note - all the reviews are 5 star - very much deserved. I believe I have been getting haircuts there for 29 years and each one has been perfect, He is also has great personality and is fun to schmooze with.

About 20 years ago, a neighbor of mine took me along with his son to get a haircut. The place was new to me, my parents having taken me to chain hairstylists like Supercuts in the past, so the cozy little two seat salon was a new experience. Ever since then, save for when I was in school far out of state or had grown my hair to such a length that going to a men's hair stylist was just not reasonable, I have gone to Robert's to get my ears lowered. It's exactly what you expect from a classical barbershop: good conversation, friendly customers, and honestly excellent haircut at the end of it. Sometimes you have to wait a while, as Robert is the only guy actually working his shop, but it's worth it if you have the time, and he's willing to stay a little after closing hours if you rush in before he shuts the door.
