About Glencadia Dog Camp
Glencadia Dog Camp has been providing countryside dog vacations since 2005, offering transportation and boarding on its 20-acre property with two ponds and a spacious climate-controlled barn. The camp provides personalized photo and video updates, as well as messaging, through its exclusive dog boarding app. Members can enjoy convenient pick-up and delivery services on scheduled routes in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and nearby areas. Dogs always come back happy and exhausted from their amazing time and will have the best time at this great dog resort. They post lots of pictures and new photos so owners can check in. Gourmet meals and nail clipping are available. Everyone at Glencadia is so nice and extremely helpful with any questions. It is a trusted home away from home for many dogs, who look excited to go to camp.
We've sent our two dogs (11yo border collie mix and 12yo lab mix in 2025) 34 times from 2018-2025. They enjoy short stays over a long weekend and longer stays lasting more than three weeks, depending on our travel. Our pups get excited to go and look for the van when we tell them they're going to camp -- they always come back happy and exhausted (and freshly bathed!!). We appreciate that the Glencadia team posts new photos so we can check in and see what they're up to 😊 We will continue to book with Glencadia as long as our precious pups are with us. Fantastic! We have a very high energy dog who desperately needs mental and physical stimulation throughout the day. When we drop him off at The Glencadia Dog Camp for vacation, not only do we know he’s safe, but he will have an amazing time with all the other dogs while we’re gone. We know this because he doesn’t look back when he leaves and looks disappointed to have to come home haha. We pay a little extra for the gourmet meals and add a nail clipping for $20 which is 100% worth it!
Though the initial $40 reservation fee can be a bit steep if you are leaving town for only a day or two, that one time fee spread out over multiple days averages to about that...read full review
We sent our dog here over the holidays and she had the best time! Everyone at Glencadia is so nice and extremely helpful with any questions you have. They send you updates and post lots of pictures. We will be sending our dog there anytime we have a long trip!
