I am a NYS Licensed Engineer retired from a 35 year career with the NYS Department of Transportation. For 20 of those years, I was responsible for the operation, maintenance and repairs of the state highway system in Cayuga and Seneca Counties. In those 20 years, I supervised several hundred miles of asphalt paving projects on the state system.I planned a project to rehabilitate my residential asphalt driveway in Tompkins County. It is not a large driveway, but it was not a simple resurfacing project. The driveway required extensive rehabilitation and reconfiguration because of a recent wall project.
