I ordered directly from here as I prefer to support small local businesses instead of ordering from a 1 800 place. I'm in Virginia but my sister lives there. The arrangement that was sent was absolutely beautiful. It was exactly like the pictures promised it would be, but even nicer IMHO. I am very happy I chose Shelter Island Florist and I highly recommend them.
Joe and his staff are so wonderful and caring. They want to make an unpleasant experience as pleasant as possible when it happens. I prepaid my mother's funeral and Joe explained the whole process patiently to me and with great compassion. He wants to give my mom eventually the funeral she wants and deserves. I so appreciate it. And they are very reasonable. A lovely place. The whole funeral home has a good feeling to it for good reason.
They treat my dog amazingly and they are through and transparent while being warm and calming during what is often a stressful situation. No one wants to be at a Vets office, least of all the pet, however I feel very much in good hands bringing my dog there.
