I don’t often leave reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. I traveled all the way from the city to Westchester for this appointment—leaving my newborn daughter at home for the first time, which the office was fully aware of when I booked.
When scheduling, I made it very clear that I would need nitrous due to dental anxiety. After arriving, I waited over an hour past my appointment time, only to finally be told by the receptionist—without any empathy—that I couldn’t have nitrous because they had “used the last of the oxygen.”
This is not a small oversight. For patients with anxiety, this kind of preparation and communication is essential. To wait that long, after traveling and arranging childcare for a newborn, only to be dismissed so casually is incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.
If you experience dental anxiety and rely on accommodations like nitrous, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This office does not seem equipped to handle those needs with the care or consideration they require.
Edit: I believe that this reply from the practice was merely to appear as if they care due to the fact that when I was there today no one was interested in working towards a solution or offering anything to acknowledge this situation. The practice also has a sign in their office that if you write a review, you get a $5 dunkin donuts gift card, I do wonder when they will be reaching out to me to send me the gift card.

I just completed my dental implant process today, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience and results! After working with an endodontist and oral surgeon for the implant screw, I had my final crown placed at Scarsdale Dental.
Dr. Jacob and the entire staff were incredibly informative, gentle, and supportive throughout the entire process. They made everything feel smooth and comfortable from start to finish.
My husband is also seen by Dr. Suh, who is just as amazing—very thorough and gentle. We’ve both had great experiences here.
I’m extremely satisfied with the final outcome. I’ll definitely be returning to Dr. Jacob for my next implant. Highly recommend to anyone looking for excellent dental care!
