I reached out to them with some questions about my US tax situation--slightly complicated by the fact that I live abroad--and while I wasn't even a paying customer (yet!), they were still happy to sit down with me and address my tax questions in detail. “Gabe Castillo is the awesome. used to be that when i thought, "accountant," i thought of what was essentially a machine dressed as a human, that could power through the numbers like nobody's business but that you probably wouldn't choose to spend a lot of leisure time with. enter Gabe Castillo. this is a deeply personable sweetheart of a guy. i mean, i can't promise he'd be the same with everybody, because connections between people are matters of chemistry and what mixes well with me wouldn't mix well with everyone - that's understood. but my relationship with Gabe came very quickly to feel to me to be about 60% personal and 40% business. so far i haven't seen him more than a few times a year (around tax time, usually), but by the end of my first visit i felt i'd made a friend (because i had). Gabe *knows* me to a degree that some people never have with whom i've shared my deepest secrets...body fluids...what-have-you. it's become a usual occurrence, when i have business going on with Gabe, for me to have occasion to pop into his office to drop off papers or ask a quick question...and i've learned to budget time for this. because i pop into Gabe's office to ask him a quick question and i might leave two hours later, shaking my head and thinking, "what a wonderful guy..." i don't know - maybe i shouldn't post this, because maybe it's Gabe's status as a hidden gem that allows him the leisure to spend such time with me. but i'm going to take my chances because he deserves the acclaim. i love him and there's a good chance you will too. (oh, and he can *also* power through the numbers like nobody's business.)“
