About Bluemercury
Bluemercury offers a positive shopping experience, particularly at its Rye location. Customers appreciate the clean, well-organized store and the friendly, helpful staff. The manager, Donna, receives specific praise for her knowledge and ability to make shoppers feel comfortable. She assists customers in finding the right products, including skincare and cosmetics, ensuring a personal touch in the shopping experience. Reviewers note that the staff consistently go above and beyond in customer service, offering samples and making helpful suggestions. While some other locations, like Greenwich and Darien, have received mixed reviews due to less satisfactory service, the Rye store stands out for its inviting atmosphere and well-curated product selection. Shoppers enjoy the balance of assistance without feeling overwhelmed, allowing them to explore at their own pace. Overall, Bluemercury is recommended for those seeking quality products along with excellent customer service, especially at the Rye location where the staff's commitment to enhancing the shopping experience is evident.
I was a little hesitant to walk in first. I didn’t think they had men’s toiletries. Donna showed me around the store and help me pick out some shaving cream moisturizer and eye cream she made me feel so comfortable and was very knowledgeable about everything. It’s been one week and I love all the products she recommend. I will be back! Thank you Donna!
Every single time I've been in here, the sales women have been super friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond with their customer service, offering samples of products and making helpful suggestions. Great selection of products, always clean and organized store. Highly recommend.
Finally, a Bluemercury location that makes the shopping experience pleasurable! I can almost roll out of bed and be at the Greenwich Bluemercury location. Then there's Bluemercury in Darien, near other places we frequent, so that's an option. While a bit of a hike, we also have New Canaan. But no! None of these locations are worth a visit. I explain why below. Finally, I found a Bluemercury store to love! The Rye location is a bit of a trek and not an area I usually go to, although there are many cute shops. It's worth the drive. The Manager, Donna, knows what she's doing. The layout of the store looks like it was touched by the expert hands of a Feng Shui expert. The dream-team she assembled and/or manages strikes the perfect balance between assisting but leaving me alone to explore. Donna is delightful and super helpful. I think the Darien, Greenwich and New Canaan need Donna desperately. For now, I'll just drive to Rye. Greenwich is crowded, and since Tiana left years ago, it has never been the same. It's the usual, "let me know if you need any help." Then they hover over you as you walk around and try products on. Ugh! I prefer Sephora up the block where they leave you alone. Guess where I spend more money too? Greenwich Bluemercury carries a few brands that I love, but I'm in and out as fast as possible. Frankly, if not for a generous friend who gives me gift cards, I'd never bother to stop in. At least the new Manager is better than the former who was rude and snarky. Darien is a bit better, but not by much. There is a young guy who works there and is super sweet and helpful. You get more of that overcrowded set-up with workers who follow you around and repeatedly offer help. New Canaan is uppity and rude, with no reason to be. You get a literal stare down when you shop. I won't ever step foot in that store again. Is the UK main office aware of this? Is it the same poor experience in the UK? It's possible that people don't care so much about the things I think are important, like customer service.
