Grew for repairs and lessons! They basically rebuilt my son’s trombone in a matter of weeks. We also take lessons with Joseph who is great. He helped my son get a near-perfect NYSSMA score after only three sessions. The owners and all of the employees and teachers are just super nice and knowledgeable too. Highly recommend this place!
Another important piece in the amazing town of Patchogue! I know people who have been going here for years. Almost twenty years ago my sister would get her saxophone reeds here, and now I'm lucky enough to take music lessons here myself! The painted instruments they have as decorations are so beautiful and creative, and the music nerd in me loves all the different posters they have up. Everyone who works up front is so relaxed and accommodating, as well as knowledgeable. I myself take uke lessons, and am having a fantastic time. Had a mishap with my flute that required immediate attention. Plus I had a tenor sax neck that needed new cork. Called Family Melody Centers and spoke to Nick the resident woodwind repairman. When I got there, found Family Melody Centers is a state-of-the-art repair facility (it's been years since I been here). Nick was able to see me right away. Everyone there is friendly. While my flute and sax neck was worked on, I checked out the store and also purchased a neat little music manuscript book for my student. Fair price.
