Oneida Community Golf Club offers a mixed experience. The staff in the pro shop, bar, and restaurant are great, but the course conditions are a concern, with muddy fairways and small, challenging greens. The club is well-organized for events like tournaments and parties, with attentive staff, good food, and a convenient location. Overall, the club has potential but needs some attention to the course.
The staff was great both in the pro shop and the bar and restaurant. The course conditions were a bit strange. The Fairways were all mud, and there were some spots that were completely void of any grass. Greens were small and very challenging. Could be a great course with some attention to conditions.
Haven’t golfed here in a while, but I’ve recently had 2 events here (retirement party and baby shower) and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to have them than Lakeside Landing. The staff is very attentive and easy to work with, the food has been phenomenal, and nice convenient location. If you’re looking for a good spot to hold an event in the Oneida/Sherrill area, this is the place to have it.
Any reviews that speak to the restaurant are missing the mark. The restaurant, Lakeside Landing, is not owned or affiliated with the golf course, they are separate businesses entirely.The golf course itself is beautiful and the price is right. This course was designed and used exlusively by the employees of the former Oneida flatware company in its heyday. The attention to detail still shows despite several decades with less money to work with. This place has a small town feel and most of the folks playing on any given day are local members. Although the course is still open to the public there have been whispers of maybe going private again, I hope this does not happen....read full review
