I want to start off by saying Dr. Caniza is amazing, as well as, the front desk staff, dental assistant, and most dental hygienists (Nancy, Jeanette, Diane). This is the only reason why this rating is so high. I don't know if one of the hygienists left, but there is a new one not listed on the website (dont recall her name)that could use some people skills training. There is a way of conveying information without being a condescending a-hole. Get rid of her! If I can get ahold if her name, I'll come back and update.

Who looks forward to going to the dentist? I do! After taking a couple year hiatus from the dentist, I walked into Piermont Dental for the first time and haven't looked back.At the start of my first visit, I had half of a permanent retainer attached to my lower teeth, a clicking jaw (fun) and a few cavities. Dr. Caniza came up with a care plan right away. Within a couple of visits, the broken retainer was removed, I was fit for an Invisalign nightly retainer, which helped the jaw issue, and the cavities were filled without a hitch.The hygienists are thorough and take the time to educate you. I have been going to Dr. Caniza and Piermont Dental for years now, and so has my husband. Dr. Caniza is a skilled and caring dentist, and his staff are likewise welcoming and good at what they do.
