I came here to get my newly gifted Gibson Les Paul that my wife purchased from Guitar Center worked on. Unfortunately, the guy at GC took it upon himself to lower the action and made it unplayable with fret buzz all over the neck.Looked online for a place to bring my guitar to get setup and this store was one of the places that were highly recommended. Called the day before and was told it would take 2-3 days for the guitar to be set up which I was fine with. I saw a one star review when scrolling through, someone named Kristen I believe. Didnt even have the decency to say what the issue was. I have never had an issue since 1988ish, so I was confused. People who write these reviews are usually the ones who loved the experience or hated it. My advice is to just go there and see for yourself. If you don't like it, leave and that's that. If you like the experience and do business with them, I'm sure you'll enjoy being part of the NYME "family". There's a reason why I have been taking guitar lessons there for over a year now and bought 3 guitars (Fender 12-string acoustic, Fender Stratocaster, and Yamaha acoustic) and the coolest Epiphone Les Paul electric ukulele, as well as a bunch of other items. It's hard to find a good, friendly small business these days that treat you special. I found one. Check it out.
