I lived downtown for many years and even after moving to the Upper East Side eight years ago, I continued traveling back to the Village to see my longtime vet because I trusted him so much. When he retired, I was anxious about finding someone new.
Finding Dr. Herman has been such a relief. He’s taken wonderful care of my two cats, Ginger and Fred, and he’s always attentive, compassionate, and available. The entire staff — every tech and assistant — is warm, professional, and genuinely caring.
I’m so grateful to have found this practice. Ginger, Fred, and I are in excellent hands.
With my 3 chihuahuas, İ had to move overseas for family reasons. İ was so worried about the move. Dr.Herman and his team eased all my concerns.They handled all the tests, paperwork, health certificates we needed in time. Dr. Herman has been a great help since receiving conflicting information on our cat. Being told your cat might have cancer is upsetting and stressful, not knowing how to help your cat or if you'll be able to handle the stress of cancer treatments. He made sure to explain why a differential of irritable bowel disease and lymphoma might look the same on imaging, while also taking into consideration our cat's age, history, and presentation. Dr. Herman made sure to consider my cat as more than just an ultrasound image, but put all the pieces together to relieve anxieties and make us feel like more than just a number.
