I haven't patronize the store yet but I've been inside once and the staffs were very nice. They explained their procedures to me and were not pushy or salesy at all. They didn't ask me to put down a deposit right away and open an account like most Cosmetic places I've been to would have. They said they usually don't take new customers. They only take customers who already have an account with them and appointments are required. I respect that. But also wonder how can a business afford to maintain their business if they only work with existing customers?Initially, I was looking for a SK-II gift set. Google says they have it here but they actually don't. That's how I stumbled upon this place. Surprisingly, they carry quite a few Clé de peau products. I was first introduced to CDP in California and the products are amazing on my skin but I haven't seen any in stores like Macy's or Sephora. I usually look at them online. So surprised to find them here and they even offer facial services with CDP products. I know I will come here one day for a facial and maybe I will take my mom too. Can't wait!
Great service and reasonable price. Standard facial if you want to have a quick nap during lunch break. Personal I enjoyed a quiet facial session. Unlike some other places, they don't try to have a conversation with me in a respectful way.
Of all the Shiseido stores in Chinatown (I think there are 3-4) this is my favorite one and the only one I come to now! I have an account at all stores but the people here are most friendly and relatable. They are not money-grubbers like the other stores and I never feel pressured into buying a product I am not too comfortable/familiar with. They always give me A LOT of samples, free tote bags, beach bags, make-up bags and more! The workers here speak primarily Cantonese and Mandarin, but also English, which isn't perfect but more than enough to explain each product and recommend the ones you should use. The store is fairly spacious and very clean, but they don't carry everything (e.g. Ibuki line) yet they do carry products not found on the main web (e.g. Benefique). Would really recommend this place to anyone looking for Shiseido around NYC.
