Watch out for the "Destination fee" they hit you with when you check in. $30 a day per room. You have to 'spend' it in their cafe or bar, use it or lose it. I'm sure it was in the fine print when I booked the room, but it's not in the quoted price and it feels a bit heavy handed. The rooms are very tight. The bed is hemmed in on 3 sides, so one sleep partner has to climb over the other to use the bathroom. Room didn't have a single chair, side table, or desk. Very few places to put your stuff.Rooms: Very tight, little furniture.Food & drinks: Nice cafe for oastries and coffee, turns into a very loud bar at night. I have stayed at the moxy a few times in a few different areas but this stay at the east village moxy was exceptional! Andrew checked us in and was super welcoming and friendly and explained all the amenities in detail he made us feel like our stay here was off to the perfect start ! I recently traveled to NYC for my wife's 30th birthday. We had about 6 rooms booked for 12 people and were so excited to get the trip going. When I got there, Matt realized I had booked at the other Moxy. TBH I was freaking out. This mishap had potential to ruin the entire trip with us in a hotel and everyone else in this one. He promptly told me not to worry and started looking for a room at the correct location.
