Maik’s Gym has been as transformative a fitness experience as I’ve ever had. My weekly sessions with my trainer Jay are anchoring my fitness journey and something I look forward to every week.The gym is run extremely professionally, boasting high end equipment that looks and feels like nothing you’ve ever seen or touched before. JUST GO! The trainers, equipment and the gym were excellent. I've lifted for years, but I think this place is a "step above". The equipment is made by Watson based in Liverpool. It was the best I every trained with. The gym is on the 6th floor (57'th and Lex) with large glass windows around two of the main walls. Bright with great views. Was visiting NYC for 2 weeks, I found the place through Google maps. Immediately called and the owner gave me call back in one hour! I signed up for 8 visits. Trained with Maik (owner) first day; awesome introduction to the machines, new movements and the staff. Trained mainly with Shane. Super knowledgeable and great sense of humor....read full review
I have been super impressed by what Maik has built here! Amazing equipment, awesome people and an overall great vibe (bonus points for the Haribo). I have chronic medical issues so I was very nervous to try working out again but the trainers check in after workouts to see if I’m dealing with any injuries and I’m easily able to share my nutrition and weight metrics in their app. I have felt so welcomed and supported here and even find myself looking forward to training days! These guys are the best.
