We have been SO impressed with Instinct and everyone who works there. Our dog, Saffy, has struggled with leash reactivity for the past couple of years - she barked at other dogs, things on wheels, and people running. It had gotten to the point that we dreaded taking her out on long walks. Last year, prior to the pandemic, we scheduled a couple of training sessions with Jessica, who taught us skills and techniques to handle the reactivity. Jessica was wonderful with booth our dog and with us - patient, kind and always willing to listen and work with our concerns. We even scheduled a couple of video sessions with her during the pandemic. Jessica suggested that our dog might benefit from a 2-week board and train to work on Saffy’s leash skills and confidence. We sent Saffy to Instinct for a 2-week program and we can honestly say that it is the best money we have ever spent on her. Casey worked magic with Saffy on leash walking and de-escalation behaviors. She kept us updated with videos and emails, and even though we missed our dog during those two weeks, it was clear that she was thriving and being well looked after. It’s now been a few months since Saffy came home and we have been blown away by her progress. I would say she’s shown an 80% improvement in her reactive behavior. Best of all, when we’ve taken Saffy back to Instinct for follow up sessions, she pulls us inside and is clearly so happy to be there. We really could not recommend Instinct more highly. Casey, Jessica, and every other trainer and staff member has treated our dog with the love, care and attention that they would give their own. We look forward to continue working with Instinct to help Saffy achieve her best behavior.
We worked with Jessica over Zoom and it's been the best experience ever!! We were so lost when we got our puppy and were worried about not being able to have in person training but Jessica was so amazing walking us through how to train our puppy. She always answered every question we had over email and calmed us down when we would overthink things. And now we have such a good boy all thanks to Jessica! We can't wait to actually meet her and do even more training!
The trainers are knowledgeable and nice. Easy to ask questions and get detailed answers.
