This place is a New York staple. Ilya does a great haircut, as does the woman who comes in on Friday. It's a pretty no-frills experience, but it is also a great price and I love catching up with Ilya. He's got a classic story of immigrant hustle and making his way in a new country. I always love to learn more about his life. The place is super conveniently located for the Canal St. subway and I love that I can just call Ilya and tell him I'm coming. So many shops these days make you sign up for an account and jump through digital hoops just to make an appointment.
