Ladies! I came to Pell 18 on my trip to NYC. When I tell you this was the best layers I got in a while. Made me even want to ditch my own hair stylist at home. Ask for William!!! He pays attention to so much detail and is so efficient I think I got a cut, wash, and blowout in about 45 minutes. All the ladies waiting in line loveeeed my hair. I got lucky enough to where William was available as soon as I walked in but you can also make appointments with him. I paid $55 ($45 for cut&blowout + $10 tip)

I reserved an appointment prior to coming as they seem like they're always busy, but I hear you can walk in fine with no issues. Right when I step foot in the door, they escorted me to the back for shampooing that doubled as a quick head massage. Very relaxing. Since I didn't know who to request, I randomly got paired up with Jane and she was fantastic. She took the time to understand what I wanted, was gentle and meticulous, and had great attention to detail. While I can't vouch for women's hair of course, they do a great job with men's. Good vibes.... read full review
